Two styles of sunglasses were processed in 3D CAD to be 3D printed and showed at Art Basel Miami Beach in December of 2014. Given the limitations of material thicknesses in using the SLS process of 3D printing, a novel hinge detial was designed so that the 3D printer would produce working glasses with operable hinges.
